Glenbeg Bothy is a converted steading offering snug and cosy accommodation across a single floor. Parking right outside the front door and level access make it a good option for groups that include those with a disability, including wheelchair users. The bunk-room sleeps six people, with a guest-bed also available if necessary. There is also a 4-bed summerhouse that can be used spring to autumn to give a few extra beds for groups that are too big for the bothy, but not big enough for the bunkhouse
A spacious wetroom, suitably equipped to assist wheelchair users and others with disabilities, adjoins the bunkroom. The well-equipped kitchen and dining area is at the other end of the building and includes a wood burner for cosy evenings. The bothy is centrally heated.
Entertainment-wise, other than the glorious setting to enjoy, a selection of books and games are provided, as is a flatscreen TV/DVD for the playing of DVDs and plugging in your Wii, Playstation or Xbox – we deliberately choose to have no TV reception – as well as a radio/CD/MP3 player. There is a small supply of DVDs, but feel free to bring more of your own as as your favourite CDs and/or MP3 player.
Glenbeg Bothy is perfect for smaller groups, particularly families and friends, but can also be used in combination with the Glenbeg Bunkhouse to accommodate larger groups, particularly when there is a requirement for separate sleeping areas for boys and girls, and male and female group leaders. Or if your group is larger than will fit into the Glenbeg Bunkhouse and Bothy, then there’s also our Ardenbeg Bunkhouse.
Pricing for the Bothy ranges from £17 to £22 per person per night, dependent upon the number of people in your group and duration of stay, on a self-catering / own bedding basis. Interested? Then please get in touch to start your enquiry. We look forward to hearing from you.
