Ardenbeg offers good value accommodation for groups of up to 23 people on a quiet road in Grantown-on-Spey, the historic capital of Badenoch and Strathspey, just 15 minutes from Aviemore, and well situated for all that Britain’s largest national park has to offer. For walkers, Ardenbeg is just a few minutes from the start of the Dava Way & 15 minutes off the Speyside Way, & for paddlers the Spey is less than a mile away. Ardenbeg is just a 5 minute drive from the main Craggan Outdoors activity centre.
Accommodation is in private rooms of four beds (two standard bunks), a five bed room (two standard bunks & a single bed), a six bed room (one double bunk & one standard bunk), and eight beds (four standard bunks), each with private bathroom facilities. The rooms are split across an upper and lower bunkhouse, each with separate access.
The upper bunkhouse sleeps ten people across the four and six bed rooms, has two bathrooms and a well-equiped kitchen / dining / common room area. The lower bunkhouse sleeps thirteen people across the five and eight bed rooms, & also has two bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen / dining / common room, as well as a washing & drying room with dehumidifier. Outside is an enclosed garden, with children’s play area and charcoal BBQ which is available for use by all occupants.
Accordingly Ardenbeg can be booked by bed, by room, by upper or lower bunkhouse, or the whole bunkhouse for larger groups. Bedding is included in our rates – but bring your own towels & toiletries – as is free WIFI (although a bit flakey sometimes), and we also offer winter walking / climbing equipment hire.
Rates range from £16.50 to £24 per person per night, dependent upon size of group and duration of stay, on a self-catering basis. Contact us with details of the number of people in your group and desired dates of stay, and we’ll come back to you with details of availability and appropriate pricing.
Please note that Ardenbeg Bunkhouse is in a residential area, & as such is ideal good value & good quality bunkhouse accommodation for groups that are looking to be based somewhere in town where they can have a relaxed gathering, close to shops, pubs & places to eat. Sociable drinks with friends is absolutely no problem, but groups are asked & expected to behave in such a way as not to inconvenience or disturb others after 11pm. If you book to stay at Ardenbeg then you are doing so with this in mind.
