Our on-site high ropes course provides an excellent self-contained activity for any group, from family and friends, through school and youth groups, stag and hen groups, corporate team building, right up to the local RAF training base who use it as part of their personnel development programmes.
High ropes at Craggan Outdoors is a combination of individual and small group / team challenges. On a standard session you'll work in groups of three to climb Jacob's Ladder, six large wooden rungs with large gaps inbetween, where teamwork is very much the order of the day in order to reach the top. Then how do you fancy the Leap of Faith? An individual challenge this one as you ascend one of the 30 foot telegraph poles to a small platform, then it's 1, 2, 3 jump out to touch the red buoy that is suspended as far out in front of you as you've chosen to set it. Finally it's the crate stack where you'll work in twos or threes to build as high a stack of crates as possible, complete with one of the team stood atop the pile. Believe it or not the record is 16!
If fancying a longer session and more challenges, then there's also the committed run across Indiana Jones bridge, and then up above that to the parallel balance beams that have a life of their own, moving forwards & backwards and side to side, independent of each other. Can you complete the crossing?
All high ropes sessions at Craggan Outdoors are run by two well-trained and experienced instructors, best practice from a safety perspective, and all safety equipment is provided. The instructors will ensure that your group enjoys a safe and highly enjoyable session, and will provide all the encouragement and support that you need at those wobbley knee moments. Price per person ranges from just £27 upwards for the standard session, and from £34 upwards, depending upon the numbers in your group, for the extended half-day session. Contact us to let us know which one interests you and we'll have you hitting the heights in no time!
