Getting Here
Craggan Outdoors is conveniently located and easy to find, 1 mile south of Grantown-on-Spey on the A95, just 15 minutes from Aviemore, 45 minutes from Inverness, 2 hours from Aberdeen, & less than 3 hours from the Central Belt. Public transport links are some of the best in the Highlands, with buses running to Grantown-on-Spey - friendly drivers have been known to stop especially to drop people off at the top of our drive - and trains to nearby Aviemore. There is a bus stop right outside the station for onward buses to Grantown, aswell as a taxi rank.
If looking to book a taxi for bringing you to &/or pick up from Craggan Outdoors, then Grantown-based Lindsay Jack operates a 16-seater minibus which can be booked on 01479 872675 or 07821 111925. Aviemore-based Bremners - 01479 812322 - also have a 16-seater, and Weirs of Aviemore - 01479 810141 - have a fleet of 7 and 8 seaters.
Broomhill Station (the location for Glenbogle Station in the BBC's 'Monarch of the Glen') on the Strathspey Steam Railway is also just 5 minutes away. The River Spey and Speyside Way both run right past the golf course and the Dava Way is nearby, so we are also easily accessible for those on foot or bike, and paddlers for that matter.
For those coming in from further afield, Craggan Outdoors is only 45 minutes from Inverness Airport. Inverness is well served by a number of airlines, particularly easyJet and FlyBe which both offer good value flights from across southern England, including Gatwick, Luton, Southampton, Bristol and Exeter. FlyBe also operate services from Amsterdam.
Please see our map below or find us on Google Maps. Our postcode is PH26 3NT, but as this covers a wide area and different systems can direct to varying places, we do suggest that a bit of common sense is employed once you get close. It's amazing how many people drive right past the highly visible golf course, kayaking pond, and big sign because the satnav told them to!
Please note that if you're coming to our Bunkhouse and Bothy, these are located at Glenbeg, 1.5 miles up the hill on the other side of the A95 from Craggan Outdoors' main site, but still sharing the same postcode. Owing to the opportunity for confusion / getting lost / knocking on our neighbours doors to get directions - which annoys them greatly & they give us grief - we generally arrange to 'meet and greet' guests and show them up to the Bunkhouse and Bothy, but also have directions available for people coming late and / or in multiple vehicles at different times. These arrangements will be made with the group organiser.
