Outdoor Education
At Craggan Outdoors we know and understand the valuable contribution that outdoor activities can make as part of a child's education. Craggan Outdoors is licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA), and in addition is the only outdoor activity centre in the Cairngorms area to hold both the Learning Outside the Classroom and Adventuremark accreditations, demonstrating our ability in and commitment to delivering the very best in outdoor education. We are knowledgeable in regard to the Curriculum for Excellence, particularly the four capacities that are it's cornerstones, and work with each individual school to ensure that we deliver tangible results in line with their specific objectives.
Over the years we have established an exceptional reputation for providing a safe, fun, challenging and inspiring environment to which schools can bring children for anything from a morning or afternoon of activities, to a full day or single overnight, through to a full week Monday-to-Friday residential. We regularly host school groups with pupils ranging from P6 & P7 age, & occassionally younger, through to secondary school groups usually within the S1 to S3 range, but again sometimes older. Visiting schools come from across the Highlands & Islands region, Aberdeen and Moray, down into Perthshire and the Central Belt, with our most distant regular visiting school being from the Borders region.
If you are interested in finding out what Craggan Outdoors can potentially bring to your pupils education, then we'd love to have the opportunity to discuss your requirements. We look forward to hearing from you.

"I particularly loved the freedom and responsibility give to the pupils. It really allowed them to flourish and show their true selves. I was really impressed that even though we had a diverse group with a variety of abilities and interests, all pupils needs were consistently met."
