Archery is one of those activities that people 'discover' at Craggan Outdoors. It's great fun and the majority of people can demonstrate an aptitude for archery when they get the chance to try it. At Craggan Outdoors it is the classic 'turn up and have a go' activity, and as such has been our single most popular activity for each of the last three seasons.
Our range of recurve bows are suited for use by anybody from an 8-9 year old through to the largest adult. We use shatter-proof aluminium arrows, and if required provide protective finger and arm guards. All we ask of you is that ideally you wear a long sleeve top.
It is also worth noting that one of our two ranges is accessible by vehicle right to the firing line, and with archery being a popular sport with wheelchair users and those with other disabilities, we'd suggest this as one of the most accessible of outdoor activities.
Your 1 to 2 hour session, depending upon group size, will be led by a qualified Archery Leader. We'll teach you the basics and then give plenty of time to practice, before going into a series of games that will let you put that new found ability to use in a fun and competitive environment. Price per person is from just £19 upwards, depending upon your group size. In this Olympic year, why not try one of the sports that will be on show at the London 2012 games?
